4/22/2020Although the total NYS COVID-19 cases have seemed to level off to some degree, case numbers have been increasing across local areas. Although case numbers have been rising, our Team is still working, from a socially acceptable distance, to keep up with production! Look at the photo below to see (some of) our Team taking a very short, greatly distanced moment to take a photo together wearing our new "NY #StayStrong" shirts!
These shirts contribute proceeds to local business and causes who aid others during these times. A majority of the proceeds have gone towards feeding six local families with large family style dinners from Balloons Restaurant and Catering, and two families of five on Easter Sunday. Another portion of the proceeds went to Smitty's Fish Fry in Auburn, a business that has, and will continue to, provide over a thousand free lunches for underprivileged kids currently out of school. We are so proud of the local businesses working to make a difference in our community during these uncertain times, and are grateful to be able to make a contribution towards their causes.
On the farm, we will continue to remain ahead of the game in terms of COVID-19 management and social distancing. Todd has been proactive in all ways possible, from having hand sanitizing stations installed around the farm before the virus reached our area, enacting our Social Distancing Policy before the State mandated it, and requiring our Team Members to wear face masks and eye protection before the State required masks to be worn in public.
We will continue to work and support New York during the COVID-19 pandemic, and can't wait for our entire Team to be together again, without six feet between each other!
